FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG MEMENGARUHI TINGKAT PARTISIPASI DALAM TRADISI SEDEKAH BUMI (Kasus: Kampung Adat Urug Lebak, Desa Urug, Kecamatan Sukajaya, Kabupaten Bogor)

Abstract

The tradition of the earth’s alms is important to be preserved as a great value and the identity of the agricultural community in Kampung Adat Urug Lebak. Participation is a key  for erath’s alms to survive, where the level of participation of the citizens influenced with internal factors or the individual characteristics of the society including age, education level, income level, gender and jobs, also the external factors including the head and organizer of kasepuhan. The purpose of this research is to analyse the factors that influenced the level of participation of the community Kampung Adat Urug Lebak. This research uses a quantitative approach to the method of survey through questionnaire and strengthened with qualitative data. The research shows that there is no significant relationship between individual characteristics with level of community participation in the alms of the Earth. Level of community participation is more influenced by the external factors.

ABSTRAK

Tradisi sedekah bumi penting untuk dilestarikan sebagai nilail uhur dan identitas dari masyarakat pertanian di Kampung Adat Urug Lebak. Partisipasi menjadi kunci kebertahanan budaya sedekah bumi dimana tingkat partisipasi masyarakatnya berhubungan dengan faktor internal yaitu karakteristik individu dari masyarakat meliputi umur, tingkat pendidikan, tingkat pendapatan, jenis kelamin dan pekerjaan,  serta faktor eksternal yaitu ketua adat kasepuhan dan pengurus adat kasepuhan Kampung Urug Lebak. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi tingkat partisipasi masyarakat Kampung Adat Urug Lebak. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survey kuesioner dan dikuatkan dengan data kualitatif. Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara faktor internal individu dengan tingkat partisipasi masyarakat dalam sedekah bumi. Tingkat partisipasi lebih dipengaruhi oleh faktor eksternal individu.
